I completed a fast-paced two-hour design test with Hopper, focused on reviewing their travel app and recommending ways to increase customer engagement.

My key insight: the app leaned too heavily on users “just knowing” what to do. I proposed clearer guidance and stronger communication touchpoints to replace the guesswork with confidence and ease.

A series of questions followed this test. I think overall they were gauging my problem solving skill set and possibly fielding free user testing by taking my ideas to refine their current state with no intention of hiring me.

It was a fun test to review their current state of the app. I found considerable conflicts with the full reservation flow.
