Hopper - Travel App Improvements
I had a whirlwind two-hour test with travel app Hopper. The task? Review the app and suggest updates to boost customer engagement.
Turns out, the app relied a bit too much on its psychic abilities, expecting users to magically know what to do. My suggestion? Let's dial down the mind-reading and up the communication! Who knew an app could be so mysteriously vague.
A series of questions followed this test. I think overall they were gauging my problem solving skill set and possibly fielding free user testing by taking my ideas to refine their current state with no intention of hiring me.
It was a fun test to review their current state of the app. I found considerable conflicts with the full reservation flow.
